Wardrobe with large marquetry panels

Important wardrobe richly decorated in the Far East taste.

It opens with two panels, each decorated with japanese panels depicting hens, partridges and roosters in carved bone into a flowery landscape. These panels, of Japanese origin, are reused from pre-existing furniture. The richness of the decoration of these panels makes all the decorative quality of this cabinet.
The cornice of the latter is decorated with a dragon and an asymmetrical frieze. The side panels and the apron are decorated with engraved bamboo.

Small Japanese unit with a mother of pearl inlays decor

Our furniture is composed of a first higher unit with a glazed door and a small dresser opening by a door, surmounted by a small shelf. All our furniture is adorned with motifs in relief inspired by the Asian iconography, such as dargon, poppy flowers, a hanging vase or even decorative elements in frieze. We also find mother of pearl inlays bringing light to the furniture thanks to the contrast and also forming friezes of flowers. Our furniture rests on typical feet and is surmounted by a pediment inspired by the pagoda roof. The sides receive a carved decor depicting bamboo branches and clouds.
